3.6 BYPASS PROGRAMMING

In order to bypass a zone, the follo wi ng conditions must b e met:

- The zone must h ave the Bypass op tio n p rogrammed by the installer.

- Yo ur User Access Code must be progra mmed to enabl e the B ypass option.

- Yo ur User Access Code must have access to the zone’s Are a A ssignment.

- The zone’s area mu st be disarmed before the zone can be bypa ssed.

Fire Zones cannot be bypassed.

3.6.1 BYPASS RECALL

Stay armin g will partially arm

you r system to permit you to

remain in you r home or office

by armin g th e o uter zones

(perimeter) of the protected

area ( i.e. doors an d

windows).

How do I Stay arm?

1) E nte r yo ur [

ACCESS CODE].

2) P ress the [STAY] button.

3) If you ha ve access to more than o ne area, se lect the area(s) you wish to

Stay arm (refer to section 2.3 o n page 5).

Thi s feature is th e same as

Stay arming except that there

is no Entry Delay. Therefore,

any armed zo ne that is

breached will i mmediately

gener ate a n alarm.

How do I Instant arm?

1) E nte r yo ur [

ACCESS CODE].

2) P ress the [5] bu tt on .

3) If you ha ve access to more than o ne area, se lect the area(s) you wish to

Instant arm (re fer to section 2.3 on page 5) .

For ce a rming allows you to

quickly arm your system

whe n zones ar e open.

Howe ve r, once the ope n zon e

is closed, your system will

then arm tha t zone as well.

How do I Force arm?

1) E nte r yo ur [

ACCESS CODE].

2) P ress the [FORCE] button.

3) If you ha ve access to more than o ne area, se lect the area(s) you wish to

Force arm (refer to se ction 2.3 on p age 5).

You can bypass ce rta in zones

whe n yo u arm the protecte d

area( s). When a zone is

bypasse d, it wil l be i gnored

the next time your system is

armed. Once your are a is

disarmed, the system will

unbypass the zone.

How do I Bypass a zone?

1) E nte r yo ur [

ACCESS CODE].

2) P ress the [BYP] button.

3) E nter the zone numb er (i.e . 01, 02,...4 8), or use the [S

S] a nd [T

T] buttons and

press [

BYP] o nce the zone you want to b ypa ss appea rs on the scre en. If

“bypassed ” does not a ppear o n the screen a nd the keypad emits a Re jection

Beep, you may not have access to bypass that zone.

4) Repe at step 3 until all zones you want to bypass have bee n se lected.

5) P ress the [ENTER] button to save and e xit.

Bypass Recall reinstates the

zon es that were bypassed the

last time your system was

armed.

How do I activate Bypass Recall?

1) E nte r yo ur [

ACCESS CODE].

2) P ress the [BYP] button.

3) P ress the [MEM ] button.

Zone s bypassed the last time your system was armed are bypassed .

4) P ress the [ENTER] button to save and e xit.
